The National President Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) the Apex sociocultural Youth organization of Igbo Race worldwide Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka has described Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, representing Abia North and formerly Governor of Abia State, as a “Kitchen Slave” in Nigeria’s political hierarchy.
Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka made this statement in response to questions regarding the viral video in which Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu explicitly states, “We don’t want this country to break, we don’t want the country to break. We want the country to continue being our country, I love the country I am a product of this country, and I am very proud that I am a Nigerian”
In a reaction to the above controversial statement made by Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu Comrade Igboayaka O Igboayaka stated thus; “Sadly, in today’s Nigeria, mainly in Igbo land, Orji Uzor Kalu does not possess the requisite integrity to represent or speak for Ndigbo, seemingly motivated by a desire to gain favor with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for personal advantage.
Orji Uzor Kalu improperly used the phrase “we don’t want Nigeria to break”. What individuals are part of this “we”? Who is Orji Uzor Kalu speaking for?
As the representative of Abia North Senatorial District, does Orji Uzor Kalu’s statement “we don’t want Nigeria to break” reflect the views of Abia North?
Indeed, over fifty million Igbo youths, whom I represent under the auspices of Ohanaeze Youth Council(OYC), are advocating for Biafra or a separate nation for Ndigbo. Consequently, the Indigenous People of Biafra, led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, have been demanding a referendum in Nigeria through a non-violent movement.
I challenge Orji Uzor Kalu to convene a constituency briefing in his Senatorial District, Abia North, and include an option A4 vote to determine whether Abia North desires Nigeria’s continued unity or separation.
If Orji Uzor Kalu wins the election, I will take immediate action to relinquish my Nigerian citizenship and enter into compulsory exile. In contrast, if the opposing faction in Abia North Senatorial District, which seeks Nigeria’s dissolution, emerges victorious, Orji Uzor Kalu will be held accountable for his alleged transgressions.
Orji Uzor Kalu, what is the rationale behind Nigerian unity when non-native groups, notably the Fulani, engage in ethnic cleansing and jihadist wars against indigenous tribes, causing devastation in the Middle Belt and beyond, even affecting Enugu and Ebonyi State? Does this segregation foster an environment conducive to national unity?
I question Orji Uzor Kalu, can these sets of political profiteers, prodigality masquerading at the corridor of power in Nigeria, cheap political ” Kitchen Slaves” to western power navigate the route of survival to Nigerians?
Since Orji Uzor Kalu’s controversially rigged into the Senate, allegedly facilitated by INEC, he has not convened a constituency briefing to gauge the living conditions and economic hardships of Abia North residents.
To be a representative of the people is not merely about making sycophantic speeches on camera like Orji Uzor Kalu, but rather to engage with the constituents to understand their concerns, needs and expectations, and to advocate for them at the Nigeria national assembly.
Orji Uzor Kalu has not held a constituency briefing in Abia North to ascertain the actual problems in that constituency.
Senator Orji Uzor Kalu’s assertion that he is a product of Nigeria is misleading, as his 8-year governorship of Abia was marked by corruption, ineptitude, and reckless spending. In fact he’s the most prodigal Governor in Abia State.
Regrettably, in 1999, pro-democracy, civil society organizations, technocrats who advocated for democratic governance in Nigeria were inactive when the military relinquished power, permitting individuals with questionable character and advance fee fraudsters(419ners) with significant illicit funds to capture power across Alaigbo, signaling the commencement of the second phase of the problems faced by Ndigbo following the 1967-70 genocide.
Orji Uzor Kalu is a product of a corrupt system as allegedly linked to a 7.1b fraud case that could lead to perpetual imprisonment if Nigeria is not a failed State.
Orji Uzor Kalu is a product of political extravagance and prodigality that allegedly squandered billions of Abia funds in 8 years as Governor.
Orji Uzor Kalu remained silent, which implies complicity, as Nigerian Army troops, operating under the military code of Python Dance, invaded Afaraukwu Umuahia, Abia State, resulting in the killing and maiming of over 100 innocent civilians in an attempt to apprehend Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Obviously those who oppose the dissolution of Nigeria are perceived as subservient to the British Government, the “Kitchen Slave” to the Northern political elite, with Orji Uzor Kalu exemplifying this perceived subservience in Igboland.
During the transatlantic slave trade, there existed two categories of enslaved individuals: Kitchen Slaves and Field Slaves. Kitchen Slaves were those who worked within the master’s kitchen or food stores, while Field Slaves were primarily farmers or laborers in the fields. Interestingly, Kitchen Slaves, due to their proximity to the master’s kitchen, would occasionally gather crumbs from the master’s table and share leftover food with the master’s dogs, and often opposed any attempt by Slaves for freedom or liberation. This unique dynamic often led to tensions between Kitchen Slaves and Field Slaves, with the latter typically spearheading movements for freedom and liberation.
Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu is one of the prominent modern “Kitchen Slaves” in Igboland, that’s why he’s ranting thus ” we don’t want Nigeria to break”
Regrettably, in 2020, I headed a group of ten Igbo youths from the Ohanaeze Youth Council (OYC) from Southeast to Abuja on a visit to Orji Uzor Kalu at Kuje Prison. I pointed out to Orji Uzor Kalu that his incarceration was not solely a result of the 7.1 billion naira fraud allegations, but rather due to his Igbo background. If the imprisonment were solely based on fraud, the prisons in Nigeria would be overcrowded with political criminals from the 36 states.
I encouraged Orji Uzor Kalu to remain hopeful, declaring that the persecution of Ndigbo in Nigeria would soon cease. Orji Uzor Kalu thanked our team and requested our continued support through future visits at Kuje prison. I then prophetically objected and declared that our next visit would not take place at Kuje Prison, but rather at his residence, where we could outline a plan for a Nigerian president of Igbo extraction in 2023.
It is noteworthy that Orji Uzor Kalu was released within a month of our visit. The council had sent him several letters concerning the Southeast Presidential Project, but he did not reply to any of them. We subsequently saw Orji Uzor Kalu with a plastic spoon dancing the dance of a ” Kitchen Slave” in support of Sen. Ahmed Lawal’s presidential project in 2022.
Like the shortest verse in the bible Jesus wept, Orji Uzor Kalu wept similarly in 2023, after he was denied all principal positions in the Senate, including his aspiration for Senate President.
Today Orji Uzor Kalu is swearing on a campaign cloth written “Bola Ahmed Tinubu for president” despite All Progressive Congress (APC) yet to conduct its primary election to select the party’s presidential candidate, or even when Bola Ahmed Tinubu is yet to inform Nigeria that he’s running a second term, is typically show of political slavery by Orji Uzor Kalu
Orji Uzor Kalu must acknowledge that if political sycophancy could pave the way for an Igbo man to rise in national politics, Senator Rochas Anayo Ethelbert Okorocha (Owelle) should have become the President of Nigeria.
It is essential for every Igbo “Kitchen Slave” in Igboland like Sen. Orji Uzor Kalu, to learn from history in order to avoid the risk of returning home in disappointment and shame.
It’s very easy to use legs and walk across the Atlantic Ocean but it’s a life threatening task and a risk to be an Igbo man in Nigeria.
We will monitor the situation closely until Nigeria ultimately reaches a breaking point or loses total stability. Today Nigeria is already like a ship severely hit by a tornado.
